I don't remember if I have done this here or not, and I am too lazy to go back and check, but I thought I would give y'all a little glimpse into our daily/weekly routine, complete with pictures!
To start, every day we wake up, get dressed and ready, eat breakfast, and then do our reading.
After this, Mon-Fri we have language class where a tutor comes to our house. In our current phase of language learning, she is reading through wordless picture-books using simple sentences, and we record her talking so that we can listen to her lovely voice over and over again until we understand the stories better.
Most days, after language class, we head over to the community center, where men, women, and children come to practice English.
In our free time, we try to hang out with friends, cook, get more acquainted with the area by shopping or sight-seeing, or study language more. I love that we can buy American movies in the local language and that counts as language practice - score! Sometimes (as in once with a hope to do it more often), we babysit friends' kids so they can go on a date... good times.
At the end of the day, I fill out my "Best of my Days" notebook that my lovely sister-in-law gave to me as a Christmas present! I know I will be grateful when I can look back and see that every day I was able to think of one thing that made my day especially good. Thanks again, Rebecca!

Randomness
Some completely random recent shots...
Fresh juice stand
New coffee shop
Favorite moments
Taken in a cool-looking bathroom...
A wonderful find at a mall....
This is how I do garlic - kill like 30 cloves at once. Stinks up the kitchen quite a bit, but it is worth it.
snow, snoW, snOW, sNOW, SNOW!
I hope I have that little tune from White Christmas stuck in your head now =)
We received our first snow-storm (aka one day of snowing + one more day with icy roads) this past week. It was wonderful when we were sitting in the warm inside - not so much trying to walk places.
It was so beautiful once the sky cleared but there was still some snow on the rooftops!
This last picture was taken on a little expedition we took to the highest place in the city. It would have been a beautiful view, however, it was so rainy/foggy that you could barely see the trees a few feet behind us. So sad! We will have to go back on a sunnier day - maybe in the spring or summer.
